In a previous post, I gave you all a “sneak peek” of Tron 2 “smuggled” out of Comic Con. That same trailer has now been released to the public, so I can give it to you. With this higher quality public version, nuances of the “virtual” mechanics of the story and the special effects—that were missed before—now become clear.
The film has also been renamed “Tron: Legacy”.

TAG Update: First Artwork Posted

This is my first “completed” concept art piece for The Awakening Game. This is, of course, one of the weapons in the story. More will come. My plans are to post The Guardian Sword, an energy whip weapon, and a gauntlet weapon. This is in addition to the character designs that should be finished shortly.

Tron 2 is Real!

What’s this? Tron 2? Yep, it’s real. Disney has given the “OK” to begin the making of Tron: the sequel. Called “TR2N” for now—though an official title has not yet been chosen (I have my own list of suggestions below)—Jeff Bridges, and Bruce Boxlightner will be returning to the film. It is slated to be released 2011.

One of my favorite aspects of the film is an interesting one: Daft Punk will be doing the music! Crazy, huh? Being a Daft Punk fan myself, I can’t wait to see what they have to bring to the table. In many ways, this seems like a perfect fit. We’ll see what happens.

As far as the title, many dislike the current “TR2N” so chances are it will be changed before its release. I thought that I would just throw in my two cents. Here’s what I came up with:

Tron2: The Wrath of Tron!
Tron Reloaded
Tron2: Revenge of the User

February is the month of commercials—at least that’s what I’m declaring it (fitting, don’t you think; given the Super Bowl, and all.) While we wade through the canon fodder of leftover movies released during the “dark days” (from the beginning of the year until the summer releases) I thought that I would bring you just a bit more in the way of quality entertainment. So, I have dedicated February the month of great commercials. At least once a week, maybe more, I will be bringing you one of my favorite funny commercials. And if you have a favorite that you would like to see posted here, feel free to drop me a comment, and I may add it.

This first commercial had me both amazed and holding my side with laughter. Quite a bold stab at our culture’s “beauty obsessed” funnybone, I had to see it again and again. In fact, I found myself “anticipating” it during every commercial break. Why, it had me slowing down my DVR fast-forwards, for Pete’s sake—it’s the little “adjustment” at the end that gets me:
